The stretch just below Greers Ferry Dam is well known for trout fishing. A hatchery below the dam releases mature trout regularly, and the river once held the world-record brown trout, 40 pounds 4 ounces.

Listed fish are the species named for the river on its Wikipedia page. Check the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for river-specific regulations before you fish.
